Application of rotary paddle level switch in belt discharge chute in cement plant

The cement plant produces raw materials such as clay, raw coal, and desulfurized gypsum with a high moisture content. The wet raw materials cause the materials to easily block the unloading slide during belt transportation. Since the production line is only equipped with one inspection worker for the same process and the frequency of inspections is not enough, it is not easy to A timely inspection found that the unloading chute was blocked. After the unloading chute was blocked, it was very labor-intensive for a worker to clear the unloading chute. In view of the above problem that the belt unloading chute is easy to block, maintenance personnel and post personnel observed the material situation on site and installed a rotary paddle level switch at a certain height of the unloading chute. When the material chute accumulates material to the rotary paddle level switch, the rotary paddle level switch is installed. The blade of the type level switch cannot rotate, and the rotary type level switch acts with a belt interlocking to stop, which avoids the chute being blocked and difficult to clear, and the blockage is full of materials, and reduces the labor intensity of the personnel on the job.

1. Principle of paddle level switch

The paddle level switch uses a low-speed gear motor to drive a rotating blade. When the blade is buried by the material in the container, the rotating blade stops rotating and a relay contact is closed or opened. When the blade is no longer covered by material, the rotation will resume, the rotary paddle level switch relay returns to its normal state, and the alarm or interlock elimination device can be started normally.

2. Characteristics of paddle level switch

The paddle level switch has a sturdy structure and can be used in harsh environments such as solid granular materials. The rotating blade of the paddle level switch has several structural forms, including compact, extended, and knife types, which can be replaced according to different locations. The low-speed rotating motor of the paddle level switch adopts a low energy consumption locked-rotor torque motor. When the torque reaches the rated torque, the relay protection of the paddle level switch is activated and the rotating blade stops rotating.
