Common fault causes and treatment measures of rotary kiln equipment

1.The temperature indication error is large

Reasons for the failure:

1. The thermocouple is stuck in the material;

2. The thermocouple is burned out.


Treatment measures:

1. Clean the accumulated material;

2. Replace the thermocouple.

2. The pressure indication is low

Reasons for the failure:

1. The pressure measuring tube is blocked by dust;

2. The cyclone tube accumulates material.


Treatment measures:

1. Blow the pressure measuring tube with compressed air;

2. Blow the cone of the cyclone tube with compressed air.

3. Running raw materials

Reasons for the failure:

1. The temperature at the end of the kiln dropped too much, and the amount of coal fed was too little;

2. The preheater collapsed, and the raw meal poured into the firing zone and escaped from the kiln head; 3. The fire head was compressed by the raw material, and the temperature at the kiln head Decrease, the negative pressure at the kiln head fluctuates, the kiln current drops, the kiln becomes muddy, the temperature under the grate is high, and the kiln head and cooler emit dust.


Treatment measures:

1. Reduce feeding materials and kiln speed;

2. When there is a sign of raw meal running out or in the early stage of raw meal running out, coal can be added appropriately. When running out of raw materials has become a fact, the temperature of the kiln head has dropped significantly, so it is appropriate to reduce the feeding of coal and coal. When the current and the temperature of the firing zone show an upward trend, you can add materials and increase the kiln speed. The feeding range should not be too large.

4. Clean up the crust

Reasons for the failure:

1. The positive pressure at the kiln head is too high;

2. Raw materials are running out;

3. The cooling machine is making a snowman.


Treatment measures:

1. Slow down the grate bed speed and increase the air exhaust at the kiln head;

2. Reduce material, coal, air, and slow down;

3. See the cooling machine “making a snowman” troubleshooting.

5. Preheater collapse

Reasons for the failure:

1. The total exhaust air volume suddenly dropped;

2. The negative pressure of the cone suddenly dropped;

3. The temperature at the kiln tail dropped significantly;

4. The negative pressure at the kiln head decreased and became positive pressure.
Treatment measures: Large collapse materials should be treated as raw material failure. Small collapse materials can be appropriately increased to feed coal at the kiln head, or no treatment can be performed.

6. The kiln barrel temperature is low

Cause of failure:

The kiln skin is too thick.


Treatment measures:

1. Run the kiln fast;

2. Change the raw material rate value into the kiln, increase the silicon value and reduce the aluminum rate.

7. The kiln body temperature is high

Reasons for the failure:

1. The kiln skin falls off;

2. The refractory bricks are thin;

3. The temperature of the firing zone is high;

4. The raw material rate into the kiln is inappropriate and the kiln skin is difficult to hang;

5. The bricks fall off during the firing zone, causing a red kiln.

Treatment measures:

1. Move the cooling fan to cool the high-temperature area;

2. Adjust the air inside and outside the coal injection pipe to change the fire point. If the cylinder temperature is higher than 400°C and there is an upward trend, stop the kiln and replace the bricks;

3. Ensure the decomposition rate of raw materials , reduce the pressure on the kiln head;

4. Increase the aluminum rate, increase the temperature of the firing zone, lower the kiln speed and feeding amount;

5. Stop the kiln to replenish bricks.

8. Preheater cone is clogged

Reasons for the failure:

1. The discharge flap valve has long-term wind channeling and the lower cone is crusted;

2. The pulverized coal in the decomposition furnace is not fully burned, the viscosity of the material increases, and gradually accumulates in the cone, and the cone is not cleared in time;

3. The cone is not cleared in time. The negative pressure decreases sharply, the blanking temperature decreases, and the outlet temperature increases.


Treatment measures:

If blockage has occurred, stop the kiln in the order of stopping the kiln. Within four hours of stopping the kiln, it is forbidden to use strong wind to deal with the blockage or manually remove the blockage.

9. Rising flue crusting

Reasons for the failure:

1. The raw materials contain harmful components such as alkali, chlorine, and sulfur;

2. The temperature at the end of the kiln is too high;

3. The reducing atmosphere at the end of the kiln is serious;

4. The thermal system of the system is unstable.


Treatment measures:

1. Clean the crust;

2. Use air cannon regularly;

3. Adjust the material distribution ratio of the four-stage cylinder into the decomposition furnace;

4. Prevent the generation of reducing atmosphere in the kiln;

5. Strengthen the pre-homogenization of raw and fuel materials.

10. The sealing ring at the end of the kiln is dusty

Reasons for the failure:

1. The rising flue is crusted;

2. Material accumulates on the slope at the end of the kiln;

3. The material filling rate in the kiln is too high.


Treatment measures:

1. Clean up the crust;

2. Clean up the material accumulation on the slope;

3. Reduce the feeding or stopping material, and increase the kiln speed.

11. The temperature of the roller oil bottle is high

Causes of failure:

1. Insufficient cooling water;

2. Poor oil circuit.


Treatment measures:

1. Increase the amount of cooling water;

2. Clear the oil passage.

12. Collapse (falling off the kiln skin)

Reasons for the failure:

1. The kiln current rises very quickly in a short period of time;

2. Dark red kiln skin is visible in the kiln;

3. Local high temperatures may occur.


Treatment measures:

1. Adjust the high temperature point of the flame to make the flame smooth and the thermal negative pressure in the kiln should not be too high;

2. Reduce the kiln speed appropriately and slowly restore the kiln speed when the kiln is normal; 3. Adjust the cylinder cooling fan.
