The roller press offers advantages such as high crushing ratios (up to 30-400), high and stable system throughput, improved material grindability, reduced steel consumption, and lower noise levels. Technological process For Roller

The roller press shares similarities with vertical mills in that it operates on the principle of material compression and grinding within a compacted bed. However, it has distinct differences. While vertical mills utilize the relative motion of grinding rollers and a grinding disc to crush materials, employing non-completely constrained compression, the roller press relies on pure pressure applied by two counter-rotating rolls to create a compacted bed. This intense internal pressure generates fractures within particles, leading to their comminution. Materials exiting the roller press form a low-strength cake, with particles below 2mm typically comprising 80% to 90% of the product. 

 

Key components of Roller press

Rotary Kiln consist of key components: Kiln body&Kiln tyre, Support devices; Hydraulic thrust roller, drive system and Sealing units.

Roller & Support

Rollers consist of a wear-resistant roller surface, double-row spherical roller bearings, and adjustable bearing housings that facilitate horizontal movement. The roller surface comes in two variations: smooth and grooved. Smooth surfaces offer cost-effective manufacturing and maintenance, and are easily repairable in the event of corrosion. The roller support relies on heavy-duty double-row self-aligning roller bearings, ensuring precise guidance. Each roller is housed in high-quality alloy steel bearing boxes, with one bearing acting as a fixed bearing to prevent axial movement within its box. 

Drive System

The roller press employs a dual drive system, with two rollers being powered by motors through multi-stage planetary gear reducers. The connection of the two ends is facilitated by end keys (flat pin keys). Torque transmission between certain motors and reducers is achieved using a universal coupling. To prevent overloading of the drive system, a safety coupling is installed.  

Hydraulic system

The pressure required for the roller press is provided by the hydraulic system, and a certain gap is maintained between the two rollers to ensure that the material passes under high pressure.

Main Frame

The main frame adopts a welded structure, consisting of upper and lower beams and columns, which are connected with each other with bolts. There is rubber between the bearing seat of the fixed roller and the end of the chassis for buffering. The bottom of the bearing of the movable roller is lined with polytetrafluoroethylene.
